Could not resist putting this photo up to remind myself to go above and view the big picture, which is something that being in the wilds of Arizona helps us do. We feel small in the large universe, instead of large in our own agendas and daily problems and to do lists.
Originally I was going to put up a photo sent by my friend Alex, a lovely one of Cheyava Falls, when I was reminded to get my own photos of the Canyon. A little natural beauty at any of the time lifts our spirits, but now is especially appreciated as the winter days grow shorter until the solstice.
If you are not near the Canyon, why, there are uplifting views all around, especially when you head out of the city, away from narrow street and tall buildings,into the country where the sky, clouds and sunsets play a larger role.
